Could former South Sydney Rabbitohs and Canterbury Bulldogs prop Liam Knight be the next NRL player to make the leap to Super League?
The 29-year-old forward has battled injuries over the past two seasons, limiting him to just seven appearances for the Bulldogs. Without a contract offer for 2025, Knight’s future in the NRL has become uncertain.
However, reports from Wide World of Sports suggest Knight is now fully fit and in excellent shape, positioning himself for a potential deal for the upcoming season. While NRL clubs are reportedly interested in the experienced prop, Super League teams are also circling.
With only three Super League clubs – Castleford Tigers, Catalans Dragons, and Huddersfield Giants – holding open quota spots, speculation is narrowing around potential suitors. Among them, the Tigers are actively seeking reinforcements in the front row.
Knight, who previously spent time with the Manly Sea Eagles and Canberra Raiders, is best known for his stint with the Rabbitohs, where he played over 60 games from 2019 to 2023 before joining the Bulldogs last year.
His services were initially offered to Super League clubs earlier this year, amid uncertainty surrounding his NRL future. Now, as the 2025 season looms, interest in the forward appears to be reigniting as he looks to rediscover his top form.
