One area that could use reinforcements is the wide receiver position, and recent speculation suggests that Cleveland Browns star Amari Cooper could be a trade target.
Why Would the Lions Be Interested?
Detroit already has one of the NFL’s top young receivers in Amon-Ra St. Brown, who has been Jared Goff’s favorite target. However, with Jameson Williams still developing and Josh Reynolds hitting free agency, adding a proven veteran like Cooper could elevate the Lions’ passing game.
Cooper is coming off a 1,250-yard, five-touchdown season with the Browns and has consistently been one of the most reliable receivers in the league.
